2018 will mark 35 years since G-SHOCK first revolutionized timekeeping with its innovative toughness back in 1983. To commemorate this milestone, here are three special color models with designs that incorporate a level of elegance truly befitting the occasion.
Bold basic black is accented by a gold color LCD, and brilliant glittering gold ion plated back cover, screws, and other metal parts. Bi-color molding is used to create bands that are black on the outside and G-SHOCK red on the inside, for a distinctive look that identifies these watches as special models. The color schemes of these models are designed to reflect the brilliant impact that G-SHOCK continues to have on personal timekeeping the world over.
The gold ion-plated case back is impressed with a 35th Anniversary logo that was created in cooperation with graphic designer Eric Haze, while the band ring is decorated with a group of stars representing the number 35. Special 35th anniversary packaging makes these models something special to mark a truly special anniversary.
Base models are the GPW-2000 with an advanced three-way time correction system packed into a new vibration resistant structure known as TRIPLE G RESIST, the Triple Sensor GWF-D1000 that provides depth, bearing, and temperature readings in response to requests from professionals involved in sea rescue, and the GST-B100, which is an advanced chronograph framed by a beautiful carbon bezel.

• Latitude / longitude display
  When GPS satellite signals are received, the current location’s latitude is displayed on an inset dial at 9 o'clock and the longitude in a window at 6 o'clock. The latitudes and longitudes of selected cities are also displayed when switching among World Time cities.
• The GPS function enables the watch to acquire positioning and time-calibration data from GPS satellites. It analyzes the current time zone and Daylight Saving Time information and displays the correct time automatically.
• The built-in Smartphone Link function uses (Bluetooth®) communications to connect to a smartphone and correct the time automatically four times a day. When crossing time zones, the watch displays the local time with one push of a button. It also uses information acquired via smartphone to update the global time difference and time zone information contained in the watch’s internal data.
• Standard time radio waves are received by a tiny built-in antenna in Japan (Fukushima and Kyushu transmission stations), the United States, the UK, Germany and China, and the time is corrected automatically.
