VERDY celebrates the 30th anniversary of the seasonal watch couple collection with the launch of limited-edition winter G-SHOCK and BABY-G timepieces.

The romantic story behind this collaboration began with a BABY-G watch—the first watch VERDY ever gave to his wife, a gift they both still cherish to this day. Bringing his signature street fashion style to this special milestone, VERDY reflects the spirit of the Girls Don't Cry brand while reimagining the iconic angel and devil motifs that have symbolized the couple's watch collection since its debut in 1996.

The G-SHOCK in this couple's set is based on the DW-5600, featuring a minimalist design ideal for everyday wear. The Girls Don't Cry logo is engraved on the dial, and the logo pattern is printed in glossy black ink on the strap for a simple yet striking look. VERDY's original devil illustration is engraved on the case back, complemented by a playful heart-shaped cutout on the band loop. Pressing the backlight button reveals the Girls Don't Cry butterfly icon in a vibrant pink glow. Meticulous attention to detail results in a design that is modern, sophisticated, yet full of fun.

The BABY-G is based on the BGD-565, adapting the G-SHOCK design concept with playful white ink accents for a cute and eye-catching aesthetic. The Girls Don't Cry brand logo printed on the black watch dial pairs with the logo pattern on the matte white strap. The result is a charming, toy-like design driven by a striking yet harmonious contrast of colors.

The case back features an original angel illustration engraved by VERDY, perfectly complementing the devil design of the G-SHOCK, alongside a matching heart-shaped cutout on the band loop to symbolize the connection between this couple's set. Pressing the backlight button illuminates the butterfly icon in a vibrant green glow.

Even the special packaging was designed by VERDY. Each watch comes with a specially designed limited-edition pouch that can be attached together, complete with a gold heart-shaped pendant and finely crafted details.

About VERDY Born in Osaka in 1987, VERDY is a graphic artist and the founder of Girls Don't Cry and Wasted Youth, as well as the creator of original characters Vick and Visty. In addition to collaborating with fashion brands and companies worldwide, he has served as creative director for events, brands, and hotels. His creative endeavors extend beyond design; he is also the editor-in-chief of a self-founded street culture magazine and showcases his work as a fine artist. VERDY is a representative of the creative company VK DESIGN WORKS.
